Traveling excites us, teaches us new things, and helps us connect with people in various parts of the world.  However, travel wouldn’t be complete without photos.

While I don’t admit to being a great photographer, I love connecting with something I see.  Many people love photos of animals or people.  Others enjoy still life photos of inanimate object.  With photos, you can play around with colors, slow down the speed of the picture to capture light and movement, find that “wow” moment that blows you away.

For me, I love photos of the outdoors.  There is something about those photos that connects with my emotional side.  Photos can be a door that connects to our soul as it touches our emotions, connects with what we feel, without the needs for words.

Writing about travel allows us to share what we experience around us.  Photography allows the world around us to touch the experiences that are deep within us.

Share your travel photos each week

Every Friday, I want to share a photo that shares those experiences we have had without words.  Each week, submit your photo of the week to budgettravelsac@yahoo.com.  There are six things to include in your submission:

• Subject “Travel photo of the week”
• Your photo
• Where it was taken
• Why you like it
• Your blog or site
• A brief intro to what your blog or site is about

Only one submission per week.  Every week, I will choose one, two, or even three photos for submission.  Why do this?  I want people to share their experiences in the world – either close to home or far away.  So often are experiences are shared in words.  Here is a chance to share yours in pictures.

The deadline for submitting photos each week is Thursday 6 PM PST (west coast time, USA).
